WUTHERING HEIGHTS
Director: Emerald Fennell
DoP: Linus Sandgren ASC, FSF
Drone pilot: Pete Ayriss
Aerial DP: Will Roth
1st AC: Glenn Coulman
Emerald Fennell's reimagining of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights — shot entirely on Kodak film by Oscar-winning cinematographer Linus Sandgren ASC FSF — required aerial work that matched the film's tactile, analogue aesthetic. The wide landscape shots of the Yorkshire Moors, shot in VistaVision format for their sweep and detail, were captured by Pete Ayriss, Will Roth and Glenn Coulman flying a super heavy lift drone carrying an Arriflex 235 film camera with Panavision Primo lenses.
Flying a film camera aerially demands a different level of precision — there are no instant playback checks, no digital safety net. The aerial team delivered footage that sits seamlessly within one of the most visually distinctive British films of 2026.
